Whilst particularly well-known for their expertise in charterparty disputes, our lawyers have a wide range of expertise, including disputes relating to:

We act primarily for P&I clubs and insurers, owners, charterers, cargo interests and oil companies. Glenn Winter acts for many clients (including Skuld, Genco, Spliethoff and Pacnav), some of whom have been instructing him for 30 to 40 years. He was a primary draftsman of the ICA 1996 and Skuld’s rules in the same year.

Ocean Victory
Glenn Winter, Damian Wilkes and Camille Savinien acted for the intermediate charterers, successfully defending a claim in excess of USD 135m.

Erika
Glenn Winter acted for Total Transport Corporation, including acting as their charterparty expert at the Cour de Cassation trial in Paris.

Hoegh Osaka
Ken Scott successfully represented Svitzer Salvage after the salvage of the vessel and its cargo.

Jinhaiwan Shipyard
Glenn Winter and Damian Wilkes successfully acted in a series of arbitrations under shipbuilding contracts, recovering sums in excess of USD 500m.
